Hairdressers against aids takes over 30 million people and every year over 2 million people are infected every year. I think you agree the world wide course why we are fight for. We started 15 years ago. The research is moving forward and is helping many people but is not a cure. The best cure is prevention and the only way of getting prevention is education.

L’Oréals, VD, Adrian Thelwell, uttryckte sig i samband med nedräkningen av World Aids Galan som går den 1/12 på Rival:

”Why Hairdressers?  Hairdressers have a very close and intimate relationship with their clients. You talk to your hairdresser about many things. Things that you probably don’t even wish to tell even your partner about sometimes. Therefore, we decided with Unesco to have a foundation on the 1st of December to talk about AIDS.   We started for 3 years ago in Sweden and we are now in 40 countries.

Take a look at the myths of HIV and surprisingly enough you’ll see that many people are still very uneducated of HIV and specially the younger community because they are not educated on it.

When I was young every advert on TV talked about the danger of HIV and why we should wear a condom. Hairdressers are a great voice to start talking about HIV again.
