Whisky Cocktails


Bourbon Buck
 
Ice Cubes
6 cl Bourbon
Top with ginger ale
2 lime wedges

 
Fill the glass with ice and add the bourbon. Top with ginger ale and stir. Squeeze one of the lime wedges into the glass and discard. Garnish with the remaining lime wedge. Serve with a long straw. The drink can also be mixed with Whisky or Brandy instead. The cocktail name will then change to Whisky Buck or Brandy Buck.
 
 
Horse's Neck
 
Ice cubes
6 cl brandy or bourbon
Dashes Angostura bitter (optional)
Top with ginger ale
Lemon spiral or horse's neck, to garnish

 
Fill the glass with ice and add the brandy or bourbon. Top with ginger ale and stir. Dashes of Angostura bitter. Garnish with the lemon spiral or horse's neck. Serve with a long straw.
 
 
Hot Toddy
 
2 oz Scotch whisky
1/2 oz honey syrup
1 oz lemon juice
1 cracked cinnamon stick
4 cloves grated nutmeg
Dash of Angostura bitters
Hot water

 
Place the ingredients in a latte glass and top with hot water
 
 
Irish Coffee
 
4,5 cl Irish whiskey
brown sugar
1 cup strong hot coffee
Lightly whipped cream

 
Heat whiskey in an Irish coffee Glass (do not boil), add sugar, fill with hot coffee, stir, top with cream.
 
 
Manhattan
 
1,5 cl sweet vermouth
6 cl rye whisky or bourbon
Dash of Angostura bitters
1 barspoon of maraschino syrup
Ice cubes
Maraschino cherry and/or
orange slice (optional)
 
Muddle the cherries and orange slice in a mixing glass, add the remaining ingredients and fill the ice. Cap with a Boston shaker and shake vigorously. Fine-strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and/or slice of orange.
 
 
Millionaire
 
2 cl lemon juice
1 egg white
3/4 cl triple sec
Dashes grenadine
4,5 cl Bourbon

 
Shake well over ice cubes in a shaker, strain into a sour glass.
 
 
New York Sour
 
5 cl Bourbon
4 cl Lemon juice
3 cl simple syrup
dash with orange juice and redwine
 
Pour Bourbon over ice cubes into a double rocks glass, squeeze lime and sugar syrup wedge into drink and drop into glas, add orange juice and red wine.
 
 
Scotch Sour
 
2 - 3 cl lemon juice
1 barspoon powdered sugar
3/4 sugar syrup
6 cl Scotch
Stemmed cherry

 
Shake well over ice cubes in the shaker, strain into an old-fashioned glass over ice cubes. Garnish with cherry.
 
 
Sebastropol
 
3 cl Bourbon
1 cl Apricot
1 cl Brandy
1 cl dry vermouth
maraschino for garnish

 
Mix ingredients with ice cubes and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with maraschino.

Whisky Sour
 
6 cl bourbon whiskey
3 cl lemon juice
3 cl sugar syrup
4 drops of angostura bitters
1 tsp egg white (a dash of pineapple juice can replace the egg white)
Ice cubes
Lemon twist to garnish
 
Add all the ingredients into a mixing glass and fill with ice. Cap with a Boston shaker and shake vigorously till create a foamy drink. Strain into an ice-filled glass. Spray the oils from the lemon peel over the drink and tuck the twist into the foam. Serve with two sip straws.
