Gin Cocktails


Aviation
 
4,5 cl Gin
2 cl maraschino liqueur
2 dl fresh Lemon juice
Maraschino cherry (optional)

 
Shake the gin, maraschino liqueur, and lemon juice well with ice; then strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
 
 
Bramble
 
4 cl gin
3cl lemon juice
2 cl sugar syrup
1-2 cl crème de mure

 
Shake ingredients with ice. Pour into glass with crossed ice. Garnish with lemon wedge.
 
 
China Club
 
0,5 cl lemon juice
2 slice lemon
10 mint leaves
0,5 cl sugar syrup
0,5 cl raw sugar
4 cl gin

 
Shake with ice cubes and pour into rocks glass. Add more ice cubes and top with soda water.
 
 
Dry Martini (with Gin)
 
Up to 15 ml Vermouth
6 cl Gin or Vodka

 
Popular garnishes include either a lemon twist for vodka and citrusy gins, or an olive on a cocktail stick.
 
 
Foggy Day
 
4,5 cl Gin
3/4 cl Pernod
lemon peel
 
Pour gin and Pernod into an aperitif glass. Fill with cold wate and add lemon twist
 
 
French 75
 
3 cl Gin
1/2 lemon juice
10 ml sugar syrup
Ice cubes
Champagne
Lemon spiral and maraschino cherry to garnish

 
Add gin, lemon juice and syrup into a mixing glass with ice. Cap with a Boston shaker and shake for a few seconds. Strain into a Champagne flute, top with Champagne. Garnish with a lemon spiral and a cherry.
 
 
Gin and Tonic
 
Ice cubes
6 cl gin
Top with tonic water
Lime wedge or lemon slice, to garnish

 
Fill the glass with ice and add the gin. Top with tonic and stir. Squeeze a wedge of lime into the glass and rub the lime around the rim, then discard. Garnish with a wedge of lime or slice of lemon. Serve with a long straw.
 
 
Gin Fizz
 
6 cl Gin
3 cl Lemon juice
3/4 cl sugar syrup
1 barspoon powdered sugar
Soda
 
Shake all ingredients (except the soda) well over ice cubes in a shaker. Strain into a collins glass filled with ice cubes. Fill with soda.
 
 
Gin Rickey
 
Ice cubes
6 dl gin
3 dl lime cordial or fresh lime juice
Soda water
Lime wedge, to garnish

 
Fill the glass with ice and add the gin and lime cordial or juice. Top with soda and stir. Garnish with a wedge of lime. Serve with a long straw.
 
 
Grapefruit and Honey Sour
 
6 cl Gin
3 cl fresh grapefruit juice
1,5 cl Honey syrup
3/4 cl Sugar syrup (adjust to taste)
2 drops of Angostura bitters
1 tsp egg white (a dash of pineapple juice can replace the egg white)
Ice cubes
Grapefruit twist to garnish
 
Add all the ingredients into a mixing glass and fill with ice. Cap with a Boston shaker and shake vigorously to create a foamy drink. Strain into an ice-filled glass. Spray the oils from the grapefruit peel over the drink and tuck the twist into the foam. Serve with two sip straws.
 
 
Imperial
 
3 cl dry vermouth
3 cl gin
Dash maraschino liqueur
Lemon peel

 
Stir well over ice cubes in a mixing glass, strain into chilled martini glass and add a lemon twist.
 
 
Income Tax Cocktail
 
2 cl orange juice
2 cl dry vermouth
2 cl vermouth rosso
2 cl Gin
Dash Angostura bitters

 
Shake well over ice cubes in a shaker, strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
 
 
Journalist
 
3/4 cl dry vermouth
3/4 cl vermouth rosso
3 cl gin
Dash lemon juice
Dash triple sec
Dash Angostura bitters

 
Stir over ice cubes in a mixing glass, strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
 
 
Long Island Ice Tea
 
1/2 lime
2 cl orange juice
3/4 cl triple sec
2 cl white rum
2 cl Gin
2 cl Vodka
Cola

 
Squeeze lime into a collins glass, add ice cubes, pour in liquors and juice, stir well fill with cola.
 
 
Magnafyah
 
2 cl Gin
2 cl Peach liqueur
1/2-1 Lime
Peach puree
Ginger Beer
Lime wedge
 
Muddle lime in a rocks glass. Add cross ice and mix with gin, peach puree peach liqueur. Fill with more cross top with gingerbeer. Garnish with lime wedge and 2 straw.
 
 
Monte Carlo Imperial
 
3/4-2 cl Lemon juice
2 cl crème de menthe (white)
2 cl Gin
Champagne

 
Shake first three ingredients well over ice cubes in a shaker, strain into a Champagne flute, will with Champagne.
 
 
Negroni
 
2 cl vermouth rosso
2 cl Campari
3/4 cl-2 cl Gin
Lemon peel

 
Stir over ice cubes in an aperitif glass, twist lemon peel over drink and drop into glass.
 
 
Negroni
 
2 cl Gin
2 cl red vermouth
2 cl campari

 
Mix with ice cubes and strain into rocks glass. Garnish with orange wedge.
 
 
Paradise
 
3 3/4 cl orange juice
3/4 cl apricot brandy
4,5 cl Gin

 
Shake well over ice cubes in a shaker, strain into a cocktail glass.
 
 
Pink Lady
 
4,5 cl Gin
3/4 cl Lemon juice
1 Egg white
1 Barspoon powdered sugar
Dashes grenadine
 
Shake well over ice cubes in a shaker. Strain into a sour glass
 
 
Ramos Fizz
 
6 cl gin
1,5 cl lime juice
1,5 cl lemon juice
1,5 cl sugar syrup
1,5 cl single cream
1/2 barspoon of orange flower water 1/2 egg white
Ice cubes
Soda water
Lemon and lime shavings to garnish
 
Put all the ingredients (but skip the soda) into a mixing glass and fill with ice. Cap with a Boston shaker and shake for a few minutes. Strain into ice-filled glass and top with soda. Garnish with lemon and lime shavings. Serve with two sip straws.
 
 
Red Lion
 
4,5 cl Orange juice

Dash grenadine
2 cl Grand Marnier
3 cl Gin

2 cl dry vermouth
2 cl Vermouth rosso
2 cl Gin
Dash bénédictine
Stemmed cherry

 
Stir in a mixing glass filled with ice cubes, strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with cherry.
 
 
Rosen & Cucumber
 
Fresh lemon
1,5 cl Roses syrup
2 cl Lemon fresh juice
4 cl Gin (Bombay sapphire)
 
Shake the ingredients with ice and strain ingredients into a cocktail glass. Garnish with cucumber
 
 
South Side
 
5 cl Gin
4 cl Lime juice
1 cl sugar syrup
6 mint leaves
 
Shake with ice. Strain ingredients into a chilled cocktail glass.
 
 
Sue Ellen
 
3 cl Gin
1 cl Crème de Cassis
1 cl Sugar syrup
Mint leaves
2 cl Cranberry juice
 
Muddle the mint leaves with gin and then mix the ingredients with half glass with crossed ice. Top the glass with cranberry juice and crossed ice.
